About the Client

Peter Vickers Gregory, a maxillofacial surgeon from Australia, has over 25 years of professional experience working in leading medical institutions across Australia, Cyprus, New Zealand, and Scotland. After the full-scale war began, he made the decision to come to Ukraine to volunteer his medical expertise, offering assistance to Ukrainian doctors and patients in need.

Challenge

Peter’s goal was to obtain permanent residency based on his status as a highly qualified specialist. This required official qualification recognition by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine — a process demanding precise documentation and verification.

The challenge was that Peter’s academic and professional credentials were issued in four different countries — Australia, Cyprus, New Zealand, and Scotland — each requiring separate legalization, apostille verification, Ukrainian translation, and notarization. Coordinating these steps simultaneously across several jurisdictions was a complex and time-consuming task.

Our Approach

Bimaris designed a clear, phased strategy to navigate this international process efficiently:

  • Conducted an in-depth review of the Ministry’s qualification recognition requirements.
  • Managed simultaneous legalization of documents in four different countries.
  • Oversaw certified Ukrainian translations and notarized verification of all documents.
  • Prepared and submitted a complete application package for both qualification recognition and immigration approval.

The Solution

After 30 days of review, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine officially recognized Peter’s qualifications as a highly skilled professional. This recognition allowed him to proceed with the next stage — immigration permit approval.

Throughout the process, Bimaris provided end-to-end support, ensuring each stage was completed accurately and on time.

The Outcome

Peter successfully received an immigration permit and a 10-year permanent residence card in Ukraine. Today, he continues his humanitarian mission — assisting Ukrainian doctors, consulting patients, and performing complex surgeries.

His story is a testament to how professional guidance and genuine human care from Bimaris can turn complex immigration challenges into meaningful success stories.
